Old style This is one of my favourite bags to make – partly because it is made to my own design and partly because it is actually relatively simple to make. I made this one with quite thick stabilising foam which gives the bag a lot of structure but makes it quite bulky to sew with making life difficult in the final stages of completion. It is made with a slightly textured fabric – upholstery weight – with a swivel clasp and feet to protect the bag if it put down onto the floor. There is a strong lining with a zipped pocket. It is a shoulder bag with an adjustable strap but can only be used a cross body bag if you are very tiny. My next project will take this design but make it up as a backpack with a much softer foam interior. If you would like this bag please let me know. The actual colour is between the two depicted. The photogrid shows the bag under construction, the base with the feet and the finished product.
