Now that I have recovered from the flu-like bug, Christmas visits are complete and a New Year begun I can get back to bag – making, bearing in mind not to do too much all at once so that I don’t get sore hands again. I kicked off my creativity with a simple lightly – padded laptop case for myself. It has a front pocket for charger/papers etc. The main compartment in roomy enough for the charger to fit as well as the laptop if necessary. I included a short strap for carrying; though I doubt this is strictly necessary, there are some who might like one. The sewing takes no time at all but I was careful to measure and cut carefully. My next project will be a small backpack/shoulder/cross body bag. I saw a neat way of adapting the straps in a bag in a shop the other day so I took some photos and will see if I can adapt it to a bag of my own. I have some owl fabric to use up so might us that. If you like owls or know somebody who does, let me know, via Facebook or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I’ll donate the bag to you (if it is up to scratch). First come, first served.
