Giant Tote

I offered to make a travel tote for a friend that can also fit over a suitcase and then be used for the beach. The finished bag is actually quite large but only slightly larger than the previous tote that she had. I learnt a lot doing it and, though it is far from perfect as it is the first time that I have done one like this, overall I am quite pleased. It has a number of storage features including small zipped pockets both inside and out in addition to slip pockets (2 on front and one inside and a padded pocket for a tablet. I have added a key holder as these tend to get lost in the bottom of totes. The base is vinyl for waterproofness with metal feet. There is a detachable shoulder strap though the handles are long enough to put the bag over the shoulder anyway. The top is finished with a recessed zip and magnetic closures. I am very pleased with the pattern matching on the yellow fabric on t20180304_19125220180304_185931 120180304_19005720180304_19014920180304_190213he main panels front and back.
